Rain didn’t stop play at Milton Ernest Garden Centre’s annual companion dog show.
More than 40 dogs took part in 16 classes on Sunday, July 26. There were novelty classes which included most handsome dog, prettiest bitch, best local dog and the hotly contested dog with the waggiest tail. The pedigree classes proved popular once again with puppy, yearling and terrier and hound classes. It resulted in pedigree best in show won by flatcoated retriever Isla with her mum Emmy winning novelty best in show.
Spectators were treated to a display by Canine Partners showing the brilliant work they do training the dogs. Apart from some very soggy doggies the day was a great success raising more than £500 for Canine Partners. Milton Ernest Garden Centre looks forward to welcoming all the Bedfordshire pooches again next year.
