Does your favourite green space deserve a gong?

Green Flag Community Awards are open for applications and The Green Flag Plus Partnership is here to help you get involved.

The Green Flag Community Award is the national standard used to recognise and reward high quality green spaces managed by voluntary and community groups.

You don’t have to own or manage a whole site, you could just be responsible for managing a certain area of a park or green space.

Across the country there are thousands of people doing fantastic work creating and managing green spaces in your local communities. The award gives them the chance to get their activities recognised and raise the profile of their group and site.

Interested, but not sure if you qualify or what is involved?

As part of the scheme groups can get free support not only to apply for the award, but to plan their activities.

Partner organisation BTCV has a national team on hand to give advice and guidance not only to groups, but to landowners who want to get communities involved with their green spaces.

Across the country there are local BTCV Community Advocates who can come out and support groups to achieve the award.

Applications must be in by January 31, visit
