The 96 year old victim of a distraction burglary died of natural causes just three days later, a post-mortem examination has revealed.
Ivy Dynes was rushed to hospital with chest pains on Sunday, May 10 after crooks had tricked their way into her Turvey home just days before.
Tributes were paid to the independent pensioner by neighbours following her unexpected death.
The thieves, both believed to be around 16 years old, had enticed Ivy out of her home on the night of Thursday, April 30 by pretending they had damaged her fence.
While her back was turned one of the crooks sneaked into her home and searched the property in The Pyghtle.
Ivy saw off both burglars before contacting the police but fell ill just days afterwards and was rushed to hospital.
No arrests have been made in connection with the distraction burglary and police are still appealing for information.
