Nominations will be closing for the Bedfordshire Food & Drink Awards on Sunday, March 1.
The first award scheme of its type to cover the whole of the county has seen a phenomenal response with hundreds of nominations already made.
Karen McGeeney, of the Bedfordshire Food and Drink Awards, said: “Quality independent food and drink businesses are beacons of their local communities and these awards are set up to champion them.
“We have been blown away by the response, which has seen nominations flying in by the thousand into our email inbox.”
But the organisers say there has to be a cut-off point for nominations to give everyone the chance to win the votes necessary to win.
Karen added: “Now is the time for the serious campaigning to begin.
“The winners will be decided by the public’s vote so it’s all up for grabs now!”
Nominated venues and businesses should encourage all their customers to visit www.bedsfoodanddrinkawards.co.uk and cast their votes before May 1.
