A SLICE of happiness will be on offer to revellers at a Royal Wedding Street Party in Gladstone Street this month.

Saffron Denton who recently opened Homebaked Desserts, a cake and coffee shop in Roff Avenue, will provide a delicious selection of themed cakes for the party.

She said: “I started the business in 2002 and have recently moved from a smaller shop in Stanley Street to Roff Avenue.

“We are hoping that this area can become the new Castle Road and that people will like to stop off for a coffee and a slice of cake.

“I am looking forward to the royal wedding, we are going to have Royal Victoria Sandwiches and red, white and blue cup cakes.

“Hopefully our coffee shop will be open by then too which will also be cause for celebration.”

Saffron, who also supplies cakes and desserts for other coffee shops and caterers worked as a product developer for Unilever before starting her business.

She said: “I have always enjoyed baking and love the new shop because it has room for an industrial sized kitchen.”
