Bedfordshire Police have charged two men in connection with a serious assault in Bedford on Monday (April 26).

Alan Chambers, 50, of Clapham Road, Bedford, and William Nixon, 44, of De Parys Avenue, Bedford, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

Both men have been remanded in custody pending their next court appearance on June 1.
