Two men arrested in Bedford following Queens Park assault which left victim needing hospital treatment

A man needed hospital treatment after being seriously assaulted in Queens Bridge, between Kempston and Queens Park, at approximately 8.30pm yesterday (Monday, April 26).

Officers attended the scene and a man in his 50s and a man in his 40s were arrested in connection to this incident.

Bedfordshire Police say a number of lines of enquiry are being followed.

Detective Sergeant Simon Hancock, who is investigating, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed this assault or seen anything suspicious in the area at the time.

“Violent crime won’t be tolerated in our county and we are asking for the witnesses to come forward.”
