Teenage boy hospitalised after violent assault by group of robbers in Bedford Park

A teenage boy suffered facial and head injuries after he was attacked by a group of robbers in Bedford Park.

On Monday, December 23, the victim was walking near to the Pavilion Café when he was approached from behind by a group of five or six men and assaulted.

Following the attack, the offenders stole the victim’s keys. The boy sustained facial and head injuries which required hospital treatment.

It happened at around 1.15pm.

The offenders are described as a group of white men in their 20s, wearing light-coloured tracksuits. A number of the men were on bikes.

Detective constable Lisa Whitson, who is investigating this robbery, said: “This happened in a busy park in Bedford in broad day light. I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.”
