Police in Bedford are stepping up patrols after a man was seen begging from school children in Kingsway.
A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: “We are appealing for anyone who knows who this man may be locally to get in touch with us.
“Officers will be carrying out patrol again today around the area.”
