Man taken to hospital after collision with car in Bedford

Police are investigating after a man was seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a car in Bedford on Friday night.

Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car at around 9.20pm, emergency services also Midland Road, between Prebend Street and Pilgrim's Progress.

One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been released from hospital after his injuries are not believed to be serious.

Police are keen to hear from the driver of a small blue hatchback vehicle which was seen being overtaken by a white Audi shortly before the collision, by Alexandra Road.

Anyone who witnessed the incident should call police on 101 quoting the reference 429 of 17 January.
