A man suffered serious injuries when he was assaulted by a moped rider in Bedford.
At approximately 2pm on Saturday, April 17, the victim was driving a car along Avon Drive when it was overtaken by a moped on a roundabout. This resulted in the rider and the driver exchanging words and stopping by in a nearby car park, close to a care home.
The moped rider assaulted the driver by punching him through the car window. When the driver got out of the vehicle, the offender continued his assault before riding off on his moped.

The offender is described as a black man in his 20s. At the time of the offence he was wearing all black clothing. The moped is described as black and had a black delivery box on the back.
Detective Constable Frances Brodie, who is investigating this assault, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who has any information about this incident. We would especially like to ask residents who live, or were travelling in the area at the time, to check their CCTV and dashcam footage.”
