Concern is growing for a teenage girl who has been missing for over a week.

Wafa Banaziza, 15, has not been seen at her home in Wilden since heading to London with a friend on Sunday, May 1.

Wafa’s friend has since returned home but Wafa is thought to have remained in the capital.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Baron said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Wafa’s welfare and are encouraging her to get in contact with police.

“I would urge Wafa, if she is reading this, to let us know where she is and return home. You are not in any trouble, we just want to ensure that you are safe and well.”

Wafa is of Asian appearance, 5’5” with shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black crop top, high-waisted black jeans and trainers, as well as silver hoop earrings.

She has links with the Westminster area of London and is connected with a BMW car with the registration HK05 LHY.

Anyone who believes they have seen Wafa or has any information about her whereabouts is asked to call police on 101, quoting the reference 244 of 1 May.
