A driving instructor sitting alone in her car was threatened by two men who climbed in her vehicle.

The instructor was waiting for a student in Cutcliffe Grove, Bedford, on Monday (February 2) when the men approached her at about 7.10pm.

One got into the back of the car and threatened the woman. The second man opened the passenger door and shouted at her.

The woman managed to get out of the car and ran across the road before knocking on the door of a nearby house for help.

One of the men was described as black, in his mid-20s, and wearing a dark top.

Bedfordshire Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, in particular motorists that may have been driving along Cutcliffe Grove at the time, to get in touch.

They would also like to speak to the student who was due to have a driving lesson.

DC Wheeler said: “This was a nasty offence on a woman who was alone at the time and we’re keen to speak to anyone who may be able to help us find that responsible. I’d also like to speak to the person who booked the driving lesson.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Wheeler on 101, text 07786 200 011, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
