Driver assaulted after two vehicle collision in Bedford

Police are investigating after a driver was assaulted following a two vehicle collision in Bedford on Tuesday, April 20.

Between approximately 1pm and 1.15pm two vehicles were travelling towards Bedford town centre when they were involved in a collision.

Following the collision one of the drivers assaulted the other driver.

The incident occurred in Goldington Road, between Elms Farm Industrial Estate and Harvester. The vehicles involved were a blue Volkswagen 4x4 and a silver Daihatsu Sirion.

PC Nema Behzadi, investigating the case, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this road traffic collision, or has any information that can help us understand the circumstances of this incident.

“I would like to ask any motorists who were travelling in the area at the time to review their dashcam footage and check if any of the described vehicles or the assault was captured.”
