Hide AdOn first impressions the email seems genuine, but it is in fact a scam attempting to obtain your personal information and credit card details.
The email will direct you to an authentic looking website, where you’ll be asked to complete a form providing personal information and card details.
If you receive a suspicious email, report it by forwarding to the Suspicious Email Reporting Service (SERS) at [email protected] and then delete it from your device. Do not reply to the email or click on any links or attachments and do not provide any personal details or financial information to the sender.
The council is also asking residents to warn their family, friends and neighbours know about this scam.
