Burglars escape in homeowners’ vehicles in early hours raid


Burglars who raided a house in Fliwick made off in the homeowners’ cars.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a Flitwick home was targeted by burglars in the early hours of Monday morning, August 25.

The incident took place at around 2am when the offenders managed to force open the front door of the property in Thirlmere Gardens, Flitwick.

Once inside the offenders stole a handbag along with two sets of keys before leaving the property and using the keys to make off in the victim’s vehicles – a black Vauxhall Astra with registration number RL11MPY and a blue Vauxhall Corsa with the registration number KF07NXS.

Detective Constable Lynn Adams, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the burglary or from anyone who may have seen the cars after the raid.
