BREAKING: Two new arrests in connection with Bedford shootings

Police have arrested two more people in relation to four shootings that happened in Bedford at the weekend.

An 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) on suspicion of possession of a firearm and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 19-year-old man was arrested today on suspicion of the same offence and remains in police custody for questioning.

Both men are from Bedford.

Officers are treating the four incidents, which happened overnight on Friday (July 8), as linked and are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
