A 42-year-old man has been charged in connection with the robbery of a blind man in Bedford.

Chaman Pal, of Shakespeare Road, Bedford, appeared in court today (Friday) and has been charged with robbery and two counts of theft, after an incident near a parade of shops in Greyfriars on Wednesday, October 7.

Pal appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court this morning and was bailed ahead of a hearing on 16 November.
