Appeal after man is threatened with knife in Bedford robbery

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a violent robbery in Bedford on Sunday night.

It happened at around 10pm when the attackers threatened a man with a knife before stealing his bag.

The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers were first called following reports of a man being attacked next to the bus station in Allhallows, at around 10pm.

The victim described his attackers as a group of black and Asian males, in their teens or early 20s.

One was wearing a green Puffa jacket.

Detective Constable David Gordon, investigating, said: “This was a vicious attack and left the victim with some nasty injuries.

“If anyone was in the area and saw anything around this time that can help with our enquiries, I would urge them to get in touch.”
