A new crafts shop has opened in Ampthill aimed at helping people take up hobbies without huge expense.

Kiss Bliss Crafts opened its doors in Kings Arms Yard in July, which was also Independent Retailer month.

The shop is owned and run by Amanda Randall from Cranfield and offers crafts from cane weaving to Lamborghini die cast kits.

Amanda said: “The idea behind the shop is to encourage people to have a go at or get back into crafts without the expense of having to buy all the components separately, as everything you will need to complete the project is in the kit (tools excluded).

Amanda says the kits would also make lovely gifts as she has sourced as many items as possible that are that little bit different, and is confident that she has something for every age - and for both men and women.

For those who have a little time on their hands, there are various workshops either run by Amanda or invited local crafts people. These will be held in a light and bright workroom which comfortably takes 12 people.

The workroom is also used to hold birthday parties and is always dressed for the occasion.

Amanda is also the voucher redemption agent in the area for the Perfume Studio and is fully trained by them to give Design Your Own Perfume experiences.

For children, Kiss Bliss is the local agent for the Sand Art pictures and offers visits, attending functions, doing the pictures at the shop or simply selling the kit. Go online to
