A charity which offers support and activities for people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers is in desperate need of new volunteers to help keep the service running smoothly.

Parkinson’s UK’s Bedford and District branch needs a secretary and a treasurer.

Chairman Ian Clifton said: “The existing secretary and treasurer have had to step down to support a sister in law who has Parkinson’s and another elderly relative both living many miles away. They will be very pleased to support anyone who takes on these key roles”

Monthly meetings usually include a speaker and there is plenty of time to chat over a cuppa. The group go on around six trips a year which include a day at the seaside. To help call 07546 441293 or email
