A world record attempt will be a colourful feature of this year’s Christmas in the Quarter.
Christmas in the Quarter returns to Castle Road on Sunday, November 29, with the third festive lights switch on event.
A local choir will be leading the singing up to the turning on of the lights - the mystery guest for the all-important job has yet to be announced.
From lunchtime there will be live music in the street as well as traditional carol singing.
The Christmas street fair will be held with lots of stalls lining the road. This year also sees the introduction of the festive children’s arts and crafts in The Ent Shed.
To raise money for charity there will be a world record attempt to form the longest Conga Line With People Wearing A Santa Hat - so don’t forget the hat!
The Conga event will be raising money for the Shelter and Barnardo’s charities
The fun starts from noon, so take your families, friends and Santa hats to Castle Road.
