Clophill Post Office set to re-open in January

The post office closed in February following the resignation of the postmaster.

However new owners of the branch, at The Green, have carried out extensive refurbishments and aim to offer significantly extended opening hours.

A spokesman said: “Clophill Post Office is due to open at 4 The Green, The Bungalow, Clophill, on Thursday 17 January at 1pm.

“The opening hours will be Monday-Sunday, 7am-10pm.

“These new hours will be significantly longer than the previous hours including all day Sunday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. The branch will also open significantly earlier

and will close much later every day and will remain open at lunchtimes.

“These new hours will make it very convenient for customers.”

> Kempston Post Office, 46 St Johns Street, Kempston.

The new post office will offer 105 hours’ of Post Office services alongside a quick service, modern retail environment with banking services for personal customers and small businesses.
