Christopher Dixon, 10, is to appear in Priscilla Queen Of The Desert at Milton Keynes Theatre, early in February.

A pupil at Lincroft Middle School, Christopher will be appearing as Jason Donovan’s onstage son in the hit West End musical when it arrives at the city’s theatre.

Christopher will share the role of Benji and it will be his stage debut. He has recently filmed a commercial for UNICEF and appeared in a short film.

The young actor, who attends West End Wendies Theatre School and The Sanford School of Dance in Bedford, beat off strong competition to be offered the role.

His delighted parents Jon and Andrea said: “We are so proud of Christopher and we are excited to see him play the role of Benji.

“Christopher has been singing and dancing since he was young and we are pleased all his hard work is paying off.”

Based on the smash-hit movie, the hit sensation Priscilla is the heart-warming, adventure of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they could have ever dreamed of. Jason Donovan plays Tick in the musical which has a dazzling array of outrageous costumes and a hit parade of dance floor classics including I Will Survive, Hot Stuff, Finally, Boogie Wonderland, Go West, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and I Love The Nightlife.

Priscilla Queen Of The Desert plays Milton Keynes Theatre from February 1 to February 6. Tickets are available from £12.50 to £47.50 and can be purchased via www.atgtickets.com
