Check your bin collection days over festive period in Bedford

Collections will not be carried out on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day so collections will be slightly different over this period and are expected to return to normal by Monday, January 13.

Residents can check their regular bin collection day and any changes over Christmas and new year by using the council’s online service at here. It allows you to find your address, check when the next collection is due, and download the calendar for next year.

Residents across Bedford borough should also have received a tag on their bin with the changes over the festive period, and the collection calendar for next year.

Cllr Charles Royden, portfolio holder for environment and transport at Bedford Borough Council, said: “So our crews don’t disturb people during their festive celebrations, and so they can have a well-earned break, they do not collect bins over the Christmas and New Year bank holidays."
