CCTV released after distraction theft in Waitrose, Bedford

Officers would like to speak to the two people pictured in connection with the theft on Tuesday, March 29.

It is believed the theft occurred after the victim was distracted.

PC Brendan Street, investigating, said: “We would urge all residents, particularly the elderly, to remain vigilant to any suspicious activity and report anyone behaving in a way that makes them feel threatened or uncomfortable. Always be wary of anyone ‘shoulder-surfing’ and keep all valuables and handbags in sight.”
