Can you help catch men who assaulted driver and stole cash?

Police are appealing for information following the theft of cash from a car in Wilstead.

The incident took place on Thursday (March 10) at around 6:15pm, near the parade of shops in the town.

The victim was sat in his vehicle when two men got out of a black Vauxhall Astra and approached the driver’s door. They broke the window and proceeded to assault the driver.

A large amount of cash was taken from inside the vehicle by the two men, who then left the scene heading in the direction of Bedford.

Investigating officer PC Lucy Craddock said “We are keen to speak to anyone who could help us by identifying the offenders. The first is described as black, six feet tall, slim and with a moustache. The second is described as a Asian, around 5’9”, stocky and approximately 35-years-old.”
