Can you help catch armed robber?

Police are hunting a masked robber who held up a convenience store in Bedford, making off with cash, alcohol and tobacco.

The man entered McColls, in Chiltern Avenue, at about 7.30pm, on Saturday (April 9), covering his face with a black-and-white patterned bandana.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Olyver Tomlinson said: “We absolutely do not tolerate robbery and we are following a number of lines of enquiry to find the person responsible. I’m appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the incident to get in touch.

“There has been a number of similar incidents recently and we’re keeping an open mind as to whether they are linked, and encouraging anyone with information to come forward.”

The man is described as wearing a dark jacket, dark jeans and gloves, and the bandana.
