This year marks the 20th anniversary of a charity that supports those who have lost loved ones in road traffic accidents.
The Bedford-based Road Victims Trust is marking the milestone by calling on the community to lend a helping hand.
Charity chief executive Mark Turner said: “I am seeking the support of the communities of Bedfordshire - be that companies, businesses, groups, associations, schools and individuals to join our growing band of supports and friends.
“That could mean devoting some of your time to becoming a fundraising volunteer, becoming a corporate sponsor, doing a sponsored event for us, or simply making a small donation.
“The ways you can help are endless and we would love to have you onside.
“What I can assure everybody of is that any contribution of any type will benefit people in Bedfordshire whose lives have been devastated by road death.”
Every year more than 15 people are killed on the roads of Bedfordshire with hundreds more suffering serious injuries.
“A road death is not a normal death - it is a brutal, sudden and premature ending leaving behind it devastation and despair. In the blink of an eye a life is lost, with many other lives changed forever,” said Mr Turner.
