Bunyan Meeting in Bedford puts out a call for volunteers
Volunteers are needed to help continue the important work running the historic Bunyan Meeting in Bedford.
The independent church is home to the museum and basement collection telling and conserving the story of John Bunyan, minister and author of The Pilgrim’s Progress which has sold millions of copies around the world.
An open morning is being held at the museum in Mill Street on Saturday, January 19, from 10.30am until 12.30pm, where anyone interested can find out more.
Volunteer work can be museum stewarding or helping ‘behind the scenes’, governance, art gallery stewarding, coffee shop assistant, kitchen assistant, and much more.
It gives a chance to meet new people, learn new skills, gain work experience and get a reference, as well as having fun supporting an important local organisation.
The museum and coffee shop is open to the public and serving refreshments throughout the week from Tuesday to Saturday.
Volunteering is flexible to suit you and it can be a couple of hours a month or every week.
Interested people are asked to meet in the church coffee shop at 10.30am. Visit www.bunyanmeeting.co.uk
