The fun of building Airfix kits is being passed on to the next generation with a free model making session.
The Bedford and District Scale Model Club are offering children the chance to build and paint a First World War biplane for free, and take it home in its very own display hangar.
For the less adventurous, there will be Airfix soldiers to paint.
A club spokesman said members will be on hand to give advice to young modellers of all ages. He added: “ Parents are very welcome to participate (but not to take over!).
“All kits, tools and materials are provided.”
The event runs from 10am to 5pm, on Saturday, February 21, at Hobbycraft, Rope Walk, Bedford. For more, visit www.bedfordmodelclub.co.uk
