Richard Fuller MP has branded the EU referendum result a “clear decision”.
The Bedford and Kempston Conservative MP had long been a pro-Brexiter, speaking previously about how leaving the EU would boost the national economy, strengthen democracy, and allow the country to welcome immigrants from across the world.
This week he said: “This is a clear decision by the British people which asks us to set a new course for our country.
“We must now begin the process of creating a new positive relationship with the EU as a friendly neighbour and not a constituent member.
“I pay tribute to the Prime Minister and his dignified statement today, although I would have wished that he had remained in place until 2020.”
