Boy, 10, rushed to hospital after being hit by car


A 10 year old boy suffered serious lower limb injuries when he was hit by a car in Bedford town centre just before 10pm on Tuesday.

The youngster was sedated at the scene in Tavistock Street by a doctor and paramedic from the charity-run Magpas Helimedix team.

He was then taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by the EEAST Ambulance Service.

A 48 year old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is currently in custody at Kempston Police Station.
