Boundary changes to end Mid Beds constituency?

PROPOSALS to change electoral boundaries could spell the end of the Mid Bedfordshire constituency currently held by Nadine Dorries.

Under the proposals, published by the Boundary Commission For England today, the South West Bedfordshire constituency would take on four Central Bedfordshire wards, including Flitwick.

The existing Bedford constituency will also be extended to include Bromham and Turvey wards of Bedford Borough. The North Bedfordshire constituency would take on the remainder of Bedford Borough together with seven wards including Ampthill, Biggleswade and Sandy.

In the proposal document all of the new constituency groups are listed with the Mid Bedfordshire constituency omitted from the list.
