Body in river is man reported missing on New Year's Day

Leonard Scott, 64, was reported missing after his car was found in the car park of the Anchor Inn, in Great Barford, on New Year’s Day.

A body was recovered from the river in St Ives on Monday (March 14) and has been formally identified as Leonard Scott.

While he had been living in Hitchin, Mr Scott spent the majority of his life living in Bedfordshire, with 31 years spent in Flitwick.

The family of Mr Scott have been informed, and police are now liaising with the coroner.
