Bedfordshire man shot dead in Venezuela
A MAN from Bedfordshire has been shot dead while on holiday in South America.
Venezuelan police say that Thomas Ossel, 28, from Cople, was shot and killed during a robbery.
Officers say Mr Ossel was shot in the jaw and that his brother, Jack, also was wounded.
Mr Ossel has been described by friends as a popular man who was close to his family. He was working in London as a firefighter, and had previously worked at Oasis Beach Pool in Cardington Road as a student.
The Times & Citizen understands that the two brothers had been travelling together.
