Bedford student wins top prize from the University of Greenwich
Jorden, 23, received his award in recognition of his achievements while studying for his BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering degree at the university’s Medway Campus.
A former Bedford College student, he was awarded the Atkins Prize for Best Final Year Project from the university’s Faculty of Engineering & Science.

Hide AdThe prize was awarded at a splendid graduation ceremony in historic Rochester Cathedral in Kent, attended by hundreds of graduands and presided over by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor David Maguire.
Jorden, who is continuing with his academic studies by starting a Master’s programme, says: “It feels great to be rewarded for all my hard work. For me, the best thing about studying at the University of Greenwich was that it provided a wonderful atmosphere to learn in.”
Professor Martin Snowden, Pro Vice-Chancellor congratulated Jorden and said: “It is a marvellous achievement to be one of our prize winners.
“There is great competition among our talented students to be selected for a special award, and I am delighted that his hard work and dedication has been richly rewarded. Jorden fully deserves his success and I look forward to seeing him embark on a successful career.”
