John Hawthorn, 69, of Aelfric Court, admitted five charges at MK magistrates court on Tuesday.

Mr Hawthorn, who served as an MK councillor for the Stony Stratford ward as a Conservative for four years, is charged with two counts of possessing “extreme” pornographic images portraying an act of intercourse/oral sex with a dead/alive animal.

Police searched his MK home in Two Mile Ash more than two years ago and seized his computer equipment.

The retired MK College lecturer is also charged with two counts of possessing images involving bestiality and young children, as well as one count of making an indecent/pseudo photograph of a child.

Mr Hawthorn is a former chairman of Two Mile Ash parish council, on which he sat for 13 years.

He resigned due to ill health from both the parish council and Milton Keynes Council early in 2014.

He was granted bail and will be committed to Crown Court for sentencing.
