Young scouts learnt life saving skills including mouth to mouth resuscitation using manikins provided by the British Heart Foundation.
Flitwick Beaver Scouts also got to grips with treating cuts and grazes, burns and scalds, which meant they achieved their emergency aid stage one badge.
Volunteer helper Nicky Taylor said: “The children will have learnt some skills that will help them for the rest of their lives. Hopefully they will never have to use mouth to mouth resuscitation, but if they do, they will know what to do.”
Flitwick Scout Group, which provides activities for almost 200 young people, is currently planning its summer camp where children will be able to try a range of activities including grass sledging, high ropes, kayaking, raft building and a zip wire.
