The event is being launched during National Mills Weekend on May 9 and 10.

Artists can visit Jordans Mill any time during May where they can capture the Mill in their chosen artistic medium and enter their artwork into the Mills In Art competition.

There is plenty of seating available at Jordans Mill with fantastic views of the Mill and the river Ivel with lots of ideal spots from which to paint, draw or photograph the Mill.

The winner of the Mills In Art competition will have their piece of art printed on a postcard to be sold in the Jordans Mill Store as well as winning a guided tour of the Mill, lunch for two in the Riverside Café, a Jordans Cereals hamper and their artwork will also be used on Jordans Mill’s social media for a month.

Full credits will be given to the winning artist representing a fantastic opportunity for artists to have their work viewed and admired by many.

The competition includes three categories: fine art, photography and under 16. The children’s colouring competition will be judged separately. Entries must be submitted by 4pm on Sunday, May 31.

Judging will take place during the first week of June and the judges’ decision is final. The competition will be judged by Bill Jordan and a local artist.
