Appeal after two homes are burgled

Two homes were broken into by crooks last week.

The first burglary happened in Redwald Close, Kempston, between 4pm on Tuesday (July 14) and 11.40pm the following Thursday (July 16), while the homeowner was away. Offenders forced entry into the property and made off with various items including a 49 inch television, a white HP laptop, a Samsung S6 mobile phone and items of jewellery.

Then on Saturday (July 18), between 4pm and 10pm, thieves broke into a home in Bedford’s London Road.

They searched the property but left empty-handed.

PC Rebecca Wayland said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who knows anything about either of these incidents to get in touch and help us find those responsible. I would also be keen to speak to anyone who has been offered items similar to those described.

“No matter what is stolen, burglary is extremely distressing for victims and that’s why we are committed to working together with the public to bring those responsible to justice.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigating officer Det Con Matt Inwood on 101. Alternatively text information to 07786 200011 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
