Antique expert heads to Ampthill shop with celebrity partner

TV antiques hunters descended on an Ampthill emporium in the hope of bagging a bargain. Expert David Harpur brought broadcaster Suzannah Lipscomb to Lawson & Lee to film for the BBC's autumn Celebrity Antiques Road Trip series.'¨Shop owner Claire Randall said: 'They arrived in a cream Renault Caravelle soft top classic car. 'They had a good look at what I had on offer in the shop but Suzannah was interested in literature and was drawn to one particular item that suited her specialism in 16th century British History.

She added: “The little shop was pretty packed with all the crew and as we were open for business as usual customers that did make their way in soon slinked out when they saw what was going on. This was quite amusing!
