Ambulance chiefs want your views
YOUR ambulance service, your say!
The East Anglian Ambulance Service Trust wants to hear from people in Bedfordshire about how the service is run after it revealed plans to become a foundation trust,
People in Bedfordshire were given a unique opportunity this week to meet with bosses from the trust to have their say.
Hayden Newton, chief executive of EEAST, said: “Becoming an NHS foundation trust will allow for closer links with those who are most important to us – our patients, staff, volunteers and the communities we serve.
“And you can have a greater influence on the delivery and improvement of services in your area by becoming a member.”

Under the banner Your Service, Your Say, the public consultation means that patients and members of the public as well as staff and stakeholders can all influence how the NHS foundation trust will be set up.
And, if the application is successful, those who become members of the trust will have a direct input in how services are developed and improved even further.
Other consultation events are being arranged across the East of England during the for the rest of the year where you can speak to staff in person about the proposals. Details can be found online at www.foundationtrust.eastamb.nhs.uk.
A full consultation document and summary leaflet is also available and you can also give feedback and become a member.
