Air ambulance scrambled after woman falls from horse

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after being thrown from a horse in Bedfordshire.

A Magpas helicopter landed near Barton Road, Pulloxhill, carrying Dr Dave Leverton and Paramedic Dan Read, who administered pain relief to the woman who had suffered a back injury.

The patient, believed to be in her 20s, was then flown to Luton and Dunstable Hospital and was described as being in a “stable condition” on arrival.

Ambulance crews from the East of England Ambulance service also attended the incident which happened at about 2.10pm on Sunday afternoon (March 6),
