Dawn Until Dusk, which operate at 11 sites across the county, are celebrating Outstanding status awarded to their clubs run at Haynes Lower School, Shortstown Primary, Lakeview at Wixams and Kings Oak Primary in Bedford.

The last club to receive the Outstanding status was at Kings Oak Primary where Ofsted reported: “The highly competent provider and excellent manager work together very effectively to build a cohesive staff team. All involved are passionate about delivering exceptional out-of-school provision for the children in their care.”

The inspector praised a number of areas of work, including the activities provided, the support for children and those with special needs, and staff training opportunities.

Tracy Hutton and Alison Davies are the directors of Dawn Until Dusk; They said: “We are immensely proud of this achievement and are grateful to all our staff who worked so hard to make this happen. We are pleased that our clubs have been recognised for providing the best possible care for children. Our main aim was to create a home from home environment where children could play, have fun and be safe and we feel that our passion and drive to create this has been passed down to our staff who work very hard to emulate this.

“Two of the inspections took place within six days and then we have had two since the children returned to school after the Easter holidays.

“We are incredibly proud of this massive achievement, after only opening our first site in 2014.”
