A421 reopened following three car smash


The A421 has been fully reopened by police following a multi-vehicle crash this morning (Wednesday).

Three fire engines and several police cars were called to the smash at 7.20am.

One vehicle was in a ditch off the bypass, while two others had partially blocked the road.

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: “We were called at approximately 7.20am this morning (Wednesday) to reports of a three vehicle collision on the A421 westbound near Elstow. Fortunately no-one was injured.”
