St George’s Day was celebrated with a weekend of dressing up and jousting battles at Wrest Park.
Visitors dressed up as knights in shining armour and regal princesses for the event at Silsoe’s country estate.
Crowds were entertained by a performance showdown between St George in England’s most legendary battle with the dragon.
Visitors could also experience the highs and lows of life in wartime Britain and cheer on Wellington’s finest Redcoats to mark the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo.
New for this year - ‘Magna Laughter’ - took over the library for two days of history-led comedy, talks and interviews.
