This time, Puccini’s Madam Butterfly, Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen and Berg’s Lulu are the attractions, pulled together under the first themed season, Free Spirits.

“Free Spirits brings together two of the greatest operas of the 20th century,” says WNO Artistic Director David Pountney, name checking Lulu and The Cunning Little Vixen.
