A time and a place to see an up and coming folk band play

Three times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards, Megson draw heavily on their Teesside heritage to create a truly unique brand of folk music.

The husband and wife duo appear at The Place Theatre in Bedford on Thursday February 4.

They play an infectious mix of heavenly vocals, lush harmonies and driving rhythmic guitars.

The year 2014 saw the release of In A Box, their much anticipated brand new studio album. It features guest performances by Seth Lakeman, Jess Morgan and The Willows, and was named one of the best folk albums of 2014 by The Telegraph, as well as earning an Album of the Week title from the Sunday Express. Colin Irwin wrote in Mojo: “In A Box brackets Stu and Debbie Hanna among the upper echelon of Brit folk songwriters.”

The doors open at 7.30pm and the concert starts at 8pm. Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door.
