Cartier jewellery and Rolex watches to go under the hammer at Bedford auction house

The items are part of the well-established auction's house sale this Friday, which includes rings, bracelets, cigarette cards and paintings.

Included in the sale, which takes place at W&H Peacock in Eastcotts Park, Bedford, are:

* Cartier 18ct yellow gold 'open and shut' en tremblant flower clip, the closed bud opening to reveal diamond, sapphire, ruby and emerald set stamens. Estimate £5,000-£7,000

* A gentleman's stainless steel manual wind 'Oyster Precision' wristwatch by Rolex, the circular dial with silvered baton numerals on an articulated bracelet strap, dated 1969. Estimate £800- £1,200

* A gold brooch in the form of a sea urchin set small brilliant cut diamond. Estimate £250- £300

* A gentleman's stainless steel manual wind 'Oyster Precision' wristwatch by Rolex, the circular blue dial with silvered baton numerals on an articulated bracelet strap, circa 1972. Estimate £1,000- £1,500
